Braid My Hair

This is a new song by Randy Owen. He is a big St. Jude supporter and all of the proceeds of this song go to the hospital. For any of you who have had children with cancer, you will understand completely (even if they were boys). Colt often talked about all the things he would do when has "was big" or when his leg got better. He also dreamed of being a bull rider. I wasn't to thrilled with that considering he had only one kidney. He never seemed to feel sorry for himself that he couldn’t do those things then. Enjoy the song!

"She's JoJo's Sister"

I wanted to share a little story about Luke this morning. Luke went to dinner with my parents and some of their friends the other night. Someone said something about Jolea being his little sister and as serious as he could be he said "she's not my sister, she's JoJo's little sister." Is he not a stinker or what? The two of them can fight one minute and the next they are inseparable. I have to say that even though I could pull my hair out sometimes I really enjoy every minute with them. I have always had this ache in my heart and wondered what it would be like if JoJo were here with Luke. How would they get along? What would they be into? I still miss that, but seeing Luke and Jolea together helps give me some peace, and I know one day we will all be reunited again and be a family.

Here is song that I love! We played this song at JoJo's funeral. The song is called The Promise and it is by Mercy Me. Jesus really speaks to me through this song and it brings me so much comfort when I listen to it. It just reminds that I'm not alone in this struggle. Sometimes you feel like your so alone in your grief. You feel like no one understands what is really going on in the inside. You often fight back the tears, the pain, the anger. We can't run from Jesus though. He is always there. He understands what it is like to suffer, and He constantly reminds me that I'm not alone, He will never leave me nor forsake me. Sometimes when I'm having that bad day, I can really feel his arms around me, wiping away the tears, giving me hope, saying come to Me, come to Jesus. I hope you enjoy!

Crazy Texas Weather

The weather this weekend was so great. The kids played outside all day on Saturday. Luke played so hard that he woke up at 2am with his legs hurting. I gave him some motrin and a nice leg message and he was back to sleep, with me of course. My parents have bought the property and house right next to us, and they were moving some stuff this weekend. Their property is covered in huge oak trees and there are leaves everywhere. I think about 10 years worth! The kids had a blast piling them up and jumping in them. Jolea, my little house cleaner, loved doing the raking. I guess she'll love working in the yard as well this spring. It was so good to be outdoors again. I hope the nice weather sticks around for a while.

Not To Us

I'm missing my baby this morning! I was remembering this morning about how Brea and Colt and I used to dance in the kitchen to this song. This was one of the many favorite songs of Colt. I would hold him in my arms and we would dance around the kitchen. He loved the part about the children dancing. Listen to the song, you'll love it! Hmmm Memories.................................

Missing my baby,
