Jolea's surgery

Jolea's surgery went great. We are home now and she is doing amazing. I actually haven't had to give her anything more than ibuprofen for pain. She is a trooper. She was a little cranky and sleepy on Tuesday after the surgery, but she never really complained about her mouth much. The IV in her foot was a different story. I think she would've taken it out herself if I would've let her. We were glad to come home yesterday. It was a long 2 days. She will be on a soft diet for at least a month, with no strenuous activity either. I'll be going back to work tomorrow and she'll be staying with her memaw for at least a week until the doctor releases her to go back to school. Thanks for all the prayers! She is one tough little girl......I think she gets that from her brother!

This picture was taken in the recovery room right after surgery!

Happy Valentines Day!

What a busy day! Brea played her last two basketball games this morning. Yeah! They won the first game and lost the second game. Brea's allergies were bothering pretty bad today so she just wasn't feeling up to par either. After the games we went to dinner with some friends and then we went to their house and I conned them into watching my all time favorite movie "The Notebook." If you haven't seen this one it is a must see. I've seen it so many times I think I can quote the entire movie.

Jolea will be going in for her first surgery on Tuesday. She is having her palate repaired. She had a fistula that opened in her palate sometime after they repaired her palate in Vietnam. This is the first surgery since we brought her home. The surgery is at Medical City in Dallas and she should only have to stay one night in the hospital. I'm staying with her so pray for me. It's been a while since I've had to spend the night in a hospital. I'm sure I won't sleep a wink. Joey is coming home Tuesday to take the kids to a fundraiser for the Oxford family. For those of you who live around here the fundraiser is taking place at Joe Willey's in Rockwall.

My silly boy

Oh my gosh, Luke has got to be the silliest little boy. He wanted me to take some pictures of him outside and of course I couldn't resist. He reminds me so much of Colt it is just unreal. Colt was very silly too, always making faces, doing goofy little dances. I really miss him. And on another note, if you noticed the tickers up top then you've seen that we have changed our trip to Disney. Our original plan was to go on Colt's birthday, but Disney had a special offer come up that we couldn't resist. So we will be leaving on August 1st and coming home on August 8th. Joey and I will be spending our 13th anniversary there. We are so excited!

No! He did not learn this from his Momma!

isn't he the cutest!

Our Pitcher

Look at her go! Her facial expressions totally crack me up. This is Brea practicing her pitching. She takes private pitching lessons and she is really getting good. I'm actually a little nervous when I catch for her because the ball is coming so fast. I've ended up with bruises many times!
She has her first practice this Saturday for the spring season with her team the Texas Rounders. They are a select tournament team. I'm so excited about the spring season. I love watching the girls play.

And here she is after an hour of pitching. Too exhausted to make it in the house!

Happy Birthday to Jolea!

Our family celebrated Jolea's 5th birthday at Chuck e cheese! She was so excited, and had been asking all week if it was time for her birthday party. She had the time of her life! Enjoy!
