PFX Tour

Brea played in the PFX tournament this weekend. It is a tournament where the Pros meet the amateurs. We had a blast! We watched the pros play two games and had great seats right out in center field! It was so fun. Opening ceremonies were Friday night, and then Brea played 3 games yesterday. Our last game was at 9:40 pm. We lost by one run. Brea also did an awesome job pitching. Luke stayed with my parents, but Jolea went with us. She had fun too. I think she'll be our next softball player. She really watches Brea play, and yells for her. It's too sweet. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Saturday.

Memorial Weekend

We had a low key weekend around the Crow house . We didn't do anything but stay home, and we had the best time. We pretty much just swam and played outside. Staying home always makes me feel so refreshed and relaxed. We cooked a brisket on Sunday, which was to die for, and invited a few friends out. Instead of hunting coyotes this time, we were hunting snakes. I think we shot at least five! Don't know if we hit them all but I hope so. Then of course, what do I dream about?.......Snakes! Anyhow, we had an awesome time this weekend....Now back to work! Come on Summer! Enjoy the pictures!

Track and Field Day

Today was track and field day. We had an awesome day. Jolea and Luke ran the turtle hurdles and both came in around 1st in their heats. All the little ones were so close together it was hard to see who was first, and in PreK they are all winners anyway. Luke is so funny, he thinks it's all about who wears the "fast shoes." Breanna ran 3 events the 400 which she placed 2nd, the 200m where she placed 1st, and the 100m where she placed 2nd. She did great! This evening Breanna played another softball game. We won again like 15 to 2. The team is having an amazing season. I'm so exhausted and fixing to head to bed but I wanted to get some pictures up! Enjoy!

The Queens of the Diamond

We've got 4 softball games this week! Brea played Monday night and Tuesday night and they won both games. So far they are undefeated! The crazy thing is that we are a 10 and under team playing up in a 12 and under league. It's so fun! I love softball! Brea also had a tryout for another team Sunday called the North Texas Eagles and was offered a position on their team to pitch. I'm not to thrilled about playing during the summer, but she wants to keep playing so I guess I'm in too.

Rain, Rain Go Away

We finally have a break from all the rain we've been getting! Hopefully we'll get to play some softball games next week. With all the rain our yard is just saturated. It feels like we're walking on a sponge outside. And, oh my gosh, the snakes are awful. Luckily we've only killed two around here, but in the last week 3 people I know have been bit. One person was even hospitalized. Needless to say, I'm pretty cautious outside, and cautious about where the kids play. One good thing about all the rain is that the wild flowers are looking awesome this year!
We have a busy few weeks ahead as we are wrapping up the school year! We have track and field day this Friday! This day is always a lot of fun for the kids. Luke and Jolea get to run this year. Hopefully not against each other. Poor Luke just doesn't have his running skills down just yet. Jolea is a different story. That girl is fast! Just like her Momma! Ha Ha! Enjoy the pictures!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mom's out there. Whether you gave birth or became a Mother through adoption, I hope you all had a wonderful day. Mother's Day is just one of those days that tends to sneak up on me. It is usually very hard for me to make it through church on this day as well. I often want to bolt for the door, but always seem to tough it out. And, thank God for my amazing husband! He always does his very best to make this a special day for me. Needless to say, I had a GREAT day! We went to church, and then had a peaceful lunch at my Grandma's. We were given roses at church from each of our children, and Brea made sure that I was given that 4th rose from Colt. After church we took all the roses to cemetary to put on Colt's grave. I am so thankful that God allowed me to be a Mom not once, but 4 times!! After lunch my Mom took all the kids to the movies that afternoon so Joey and I had a peaceful, quiet, relaxing afternoon at home. That evening we went and spent a little time with Joey's Granny.

I am so thankful for all the wonderful Mom's in my life! Especially my mother! She is the most amazing woman you will ever meet, and is absolutely head over heels for all of her grandchildren. We didn't get to see Joey's Mom this year because she is on the trip of a lifetime with the man of her dreams! She too is an awesome mother, and I'm so thankful that she raised up such an awesome son who is the best husband and father. I have an amazing bunch of Mom's in my family from my sisters to my sister in law. I am so thankful to have each and everyone of them in my life.

I am also thankful for Jolea's birth mom. I thank her for giving birth to my little sweety. Jolea wore her vietnamese dress to church so that she could honor her birth mom as well on mother's day. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
