Disney World here we come!

Here we go again! Trip number 4 to Disney World! I don't think I could be anymore excited! I thought I would go ahead and post today before we left because tomorrow I'll be a crazy woman packing because I am so last minute! We are going to be leaving Saturday morning. The party consists of me, Joey, Brea, Luke, Jolea, my Mom, and my Dad. We'll also be meeting up with a friend of mine from childhood, Raeanne and her family, and we have a breakfast planned with them.

If you don't already know Disney is a very special place to our family. Colt loved all things Disney and he was able to make a wish to see buzz lightyear in 2004, and we all headed to Disney for the first time. While there we promised him we would return the following Christmas with his uncle Chad and family so his uncle Chad could see buzz lightyear too. He loved Chad and was insisting he see Buzz. So we did, but Chad I think you still owe buzz a hand shake and I plan to hold you to it! So needless to say, we have tried to return to Disney since then as often as we can. We absolutely love it regardless of the heat, the crowds, whatever, it is just magical. As soon as we return I'll update with all the pictures!
Here is our little man with his Daddy! All smiles because he got to meet his favorites! Buzz, Woody, and Jesse. It was a wish come true!

Zayne's coming home!

Little Zayne is coming home today! She is doing so amazing! And is well over 4 lbs. now. Here are some of the last batch of pictures Lilah sent me. These are from about a week or so ago so she has probably changed a lot since these were taken! Is she not precious?

Little Getaway

Thursday we took the kids and headed to Joey's deer lease for a little camping trip. The Colorado river runs through Joey's lease so we thought it would be fun to go and do a little fishing and riding 4-wheelers. This last weekend was our only free weekend before we leave for vacation. The kids had a wonderful time! They love staying in the camper. It could be in the backyard though and they would still love it. Every night we would sit outside and look at the stars. It was so beautiful! I have never seen that many stars in all my life. You just don't get to see them like that around here because of all the lights. We even saw a few falling stars. It was awesome. We ended up actually having to cut the weekend trip a little short and come home Saturday. Friday evening Luke started running a fever. As long as I kept him on Motrin he felt fine, but I didn't think being out in the heat all day would be a good idea so we went ahead and packed up and headed home Saturday morning right as a nasty thunderstorm started moving in. We had promised Luke that we would roast marshmellows on Saturday night and he was very upset because we were leaving the lease, so Saturday evening at home we built a little campfire in the backyard and let the kids roast their marshmellows. They loved it! Of course, Luke wouldn't eat any of them....he said he didn't like burnt marshmellows. He just wanted to play in the fire.

Luke is much better now. I took him to the Dr. on Monday and he just had a virus and swimmers ear. A little rest at home and he is fine.

Our trip to Disney is getting closer and closer. I probably should start getting things together. Joey and I were laying in bed last night and we were talking about Disney. I can't wait to walk into the Magic Kingdom and hear the music, and the smell of the Main Street bakery just brings back so many great memories. The atmosphere there is just magical. There is no other place like it. I think I cry when I get there and then cry when I leave! This year will be our longest stay. We are staying 8 days at the Polynesian resort. The Polynesian has a Hawaiian theme, and the monorail runs through there so I figured that it would best suit my parents. I think they are going to have a great time! We have some awesome things planned for them so that their trip will be amazing!

Another Long Weekend

We had another long weekend of softball. Brea's team got beat out a lot quicker than I would have liked. They were just in a hitting slump this weekend, although they still played some awesome games. I can't wait to see how well this team is going to be. We have some really awesome players. Brea also really likes the girls on the team and they get along so well. We have some great coaches too. They really teach the girls alot and building character is a big deal to them. I think this will be a great move for her!

Summer is going by so quick! Just about 2 1/2 more weeks until our trip to Disney World. We are counting down the days, and we are all getting really excited. After that we'll be preparing to go back to school. Brea is going to middle school......very scary! Luke and Jolea will be starting Kindergarden. Here are just a few pictures!

The King of Pop

Ok, you all knew it was coming! If you know me well you know what a huge Michael Jackson fan I am. I really believe he was one of the greatest artists that ever lived. All the accusations made about him, I was one of those who never believed any of them. I believe he did make mistakes but who doesn't. I remember watching him when I was little. I had the thriller jacket, the glove, all of it. I LOVED him! Of course, Joey makes fun of me, and doesn't dare show me those horrible text messeges he gets on his phone about him because he knows they make me furious. We watched the memorial today and it was an amazing celebration of his life. A few of us even shed a few know who you are!!! Anyway, you knew I couldn't go without posting something special about the King of Pop! So here is a little video of one of my favorites! I love all of his songs so it was so hard to choose!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Drama Queen!

The NT Eagles Softball Team!

We had a great time this weekend and celebrated the 4th of July all weekend long! Joey's brothers family, and our good friends the Curry's came over Friday night for some fireworks and pizza. Luke did get two little burns this year, like every year. One on his forehead and one on his thumb. It never fails that he is the one to get burned. Saturday we went to Leonard to Brea's softball coaches house for some swimming and a cookout for lunch. Then Saturday night we went to my aunt's house for another cookout. They always have a huge party on the 4th with lots of cooking and an awesome firework show. The kids just love it! The fireworks always go on forever. They spend well over $1000 for the show. It doesn't top wishes at Disney but hey it was pretty good.
