***The winner of the quilt was Cindy Murphey!***************************
Thanks to all who contributed to the scholarship!  I think we ended up raising close to $400!

I'm such a bad blogger lately!  Our schedule is just so busy in the spring with softball and practices.  Then when I get home in the evenings and have dinner, bathe kids, and get them to bed, I'm out of time.  A few evenings a week some friends and I get together and we walk.  Tonight we walked 5 miles!  I'm hoping to keep it up.  So far so good, and it seems to be helping me sleep better at night as well.  That's a big bonus.

This weekend we are having our annual fox fest.  Brea is running in the 5k, and will also be in the parade with her fellow cheerleaders, and I will be selling some raffle tickets to raffle off a quilt that my mother made.  All the money from the tickets sold will go towards the Colt Crow scholarship.  The raffle tickets are $1.  So if your local get with me and buy some tickets. The quilt is beautiful and made with all St. Jude prints, so a percentage of the material cost is donated to the hospital as well.  Below is a few pictures of the quilt that my Mom took!  You can click on the pictures to enlarge it. The print is really cute.  I tried to get her to just let me have it, but she wouldn't go for it!    P.S......the picture of the cute little boy doesn't come with it!

You can barely see it, but if you look at the top of this picture you can see that she embroidered "In Memory of Joey Colt Crow; 2001-2004"

Here she is in the pond...out of gas!

Refueled and ready to go.....straight through the middle...duh.  Her Daddy is so proud at this moment!

At this point, I was screaming "Brea not that way! Turn!"

Too late!

Daddy, I bet your proud now!!!...and cold!

If God is for us, who can be against us?

What a week this has been?  I haven't struggled like I've struggled this week in a very long time.  God has been dealing with me regarding my family for some time now, and it seems as though this week He has just really opened my eyes and is pushing me in directions that I've thought were impossible for me to do.  It seems as though I keep getting put into situations where He's saying "Christi, what do you see? I've told you what you need to do, now let's get busy making these things happen.  I am for you!"  Not only have I seen a glimpse of why, but God has brought people into my life to help show me the way.

I also want to say that I have seen a side of my daughter, Brea, this week that I am so proud of.  She has shown me humility, passion, honesty, and strength.  I only wish I was half the woman that she is going to be.  She has shown me that the only constant we have in this life is Jesus, and no matter what, he is the one who will never leave us nor forsake us.  Brea I love you, and I'm so very proud of you!

1st Win! Go Spice

Brea's team played their first game tonight and won 15 to 0!  They did a great job!  Brea pitched the entire game, then turned around and pitched again in the next game.  She hung in there and finished strong!  I'm very proud of her!  Here are a few pictures from the game!

So Handsome!

He's so handsome!  Luke's new found talent is swinging on these rings.  I'm so thankful that he can finally do it with his clothes on!  It has to be shorts though.  Luke just so happened to be outside in his underwear the other day ( we live way off the road and have no close neighbors) and realized that he could get his feet up and turn a flip on the rings.  Well for days we would get home and he would beg to go outside in his underwear.  He thought that he had to be in his underwear for this trick to take place.  I finally got him to try it in his shorts and low and behold he could do it!  I love this boy!!

Ultimate Blog Party!

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

I happened to run across this at another blog I read yesterday and decided to join in!  So howdy to anyone who is here at My Wish visiting!  I started this blog when we were adopting our daughter Jolea from Vietnam as a way for all of my friends and family to keep up with what was going on in the process and it has since just become a passion and hobby of mine.  Pictures of my family are posted in the sidebar but our family consists of my husband Joey, Brea- who is 12 years old, Colt-my oldest son who passed away in 2004 from cancer (he would be 8 years old), Luke who is 6, and Jolea who is 6!

I also want to add that I was sooo nervous about letting others read my blog at first, but I'm so thankful I have because I have met some of the most extraordinary Moms!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Spring time! Finally!

Could todays weather get any better!  It was beautiful outside!!  I love days like this when I can get my kids out from in front of the TV or video games and send them outdoors!  We all may even have a little sunburn.  I'm out of sunscreen and if you know me, you know what a sunscreen freak I am.  Ha! Jolea even had her umbrella outside blocking the sun from her, hmm I wonder where she gets that?  :)

Speaking of Jolea, we took her Friday to see a new surgeon regarding her cleft lip and palate.  They plan to do surgery this month.  She has had two fistula's form since her palate surgery she had in Vietnam.  One of the fistula's is in her upper lip, and he wasn't real concerned about this one, but the other one is behind her teeth in the palate.  This one has to be fixed in order for the "big" surgery that she will have in a couple years to be successful.  We have already made one attempt to fix it last year, but since then it has reopened again.  This is the second attempt.  So please pray her surgery is a success this time around!  We also saw a speech therapist Friday who will be working with the school to make sure Jolea is working on what she needs, and we are ordering her a special box to place at her desk to help her hear the teacher until the hearing issues are resolved.  Needless to say, I was very happy with this new surgeon.  He was so informative and I finally believe we are in the right place!  Ok, enjoy the pictures now!!

This picture is just funny to me.  My husband is such a monkey sometimes.  This is where Brea gets it!!
He was actually working on our batting cage this afternoon.  The snow had pulled the poles over this winter!

Brea and her friend Kelsi.  These two definitely keep us entertained.  I love this picture of them!

My sweet Jolea.  She is always ready to pose for the camera!

It was a perfect day for 4-wheelin!

Even Coop gets tired of the camera in his face!

Look at my boy ride!  I can't believe he's already big enough to ride by himself.

She keeps us hopping!

With spring comes busy, busy, busy days!  Brea just keeps us hopping this time of year.  This spring she is playing on two softball teams.  So, it seems as though we have some sort of practice every evening!  It's either softball, tumbling, or pitching....whew, I'm tired.  Watching her play sports is by far one of my favorite things to do.  She is very passionate about sports and does not like to lose, just like her Momma!  I tend to get a little passionate about it as well...:)  My girl also loves to get dirty, and she will be the first one in the dirt at every practice and at every game.  We go through several bottles of sports cleaner for those dirty uniforms!  Some of those dirty uniforms are do to her clumsiness as well, such as the picture below! :)

How she ended up like this I have no idea.  All I heard was screaming coming from outside, and before I helped her down I had to snap a picture first!  She was trying to do some kind of flip, I think, and ended up stuck like this.  This sort of thing happens on a regular basis with this child. Seriously!  As you can see, whether it be sports or things like this.....this child keeps us hopping!

Happy Easter!

I have internet! Yeah!   Easter this year was amazing!  We were out of school Friday, for Good Friday, so the girls and I took off with some friends and headed to First Monday in Canton for the day.  We had so much fun, and probably spent way to much money.  Brea and I both bought some really cute outfits, shirts, and jewelry.  Love it!  The boys had planned to go turkey hunting, but last minute decided to stay home, so Saturday we hung out around the house, and that evening we grilled hamburgers and colored our eggs for Easter.  Sunday we got dressed up in our Easter clothes and went to church.  Randall preached an amazing sermon!  Sunday also was the end to a 21 day fast that the majority of our church participated in.  Although I didn't participate in a complete fast, what God revealed to me during this 21 days through my daily devotion time was amazing.  After church, we headed to my parents for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.  We had such a great time, and there is no other way to celebrate the resurrection than with your family.  I also want to say thanks to my Mother for decorating Colt's gravesite with all the Easter things!  It looked too cute!  She always takes good care of things out there.  Also, thanks to my cousin, and Pastor Randall for putting the Jesus in risen sign out at the gravesite as well! Now....Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

This dress of Jolea's is one that I bought while we were in Vietnam.  There was a little shop on the square that made all kinds of little smocked dresses, and of course it is our favorite color!

Here are the kids at church doing their drama.  Brea is in there, but she is in the back so you can't see her very well.

Sweet little Zayne!  She actually has chicken pox in this picture but I edited most of the blisters on her face off!

My little niece Skyla!

The egg hider!

The kids and I!

And last but not least......The love of my life!!!
