He's 9 years old.

He turned 9 years old today.  It's actually a little hard to fathom.  I can't believe nearly 6 years have gone by without him.  What will we do today?  I could actually crawl into my bed and stay there all day, and maybe sip on some cappucino.  Instead we'll do something to honor him.  We'll embrace today.  We'll plan something very special to celebrate his life.  It makes me sad to know that Luke and Jolea never really got the chance to know him.  Luke had 8 short months with him, but by doing things like this to honor Colt and remember, we instill in them the significance of his life and show what an important part of our family he was and is.

Happy birthday JoJo!  Today we celebrate what an amazing little boy you were, what an amazing little brother, and big brother you were.  We celebrate how funny and silly you always were, and rejoice in knowing that you knew the Lord and are with Him now!  We love you and hope you are enjoying your 9th birthday in heaven!

Stopping by from BlogFrog and I am so glad I did. You have such a beautiful family. Although we have never met, I have been touched by you and your writing about honoring your son. Keep writing and know that your message of love, faith and hope have reached me in Canada!
